Sparkling:
Gatinois, Brut Grand Cru Cuvee Tradition, Champagne, France

A stunning, luxury, Grand Cru “grower” Champagne here at a very reasonable price.  Located in Äy, sometimes called “the Kingdom of Pinot Noir,” this is 80% Pinot Noir. There’s plenty of character here in the breadth and generosity of the aromas and flavors and the noticeable red fruit flavors that complement the pear and buttered nut notes from 20% Chardonnay. Delicious and easy to sip solo right now, this will also shine with all kinds of food and  will actually get even better over the next 7-10 years.

White:
2017 Etienne Sauzet, Jardin du Calvaire, Haute Cote de Beaune, Burgundy, France

Domaine Sauzet has a tradition of estate-bottling and aging their wines on the yeast for 10-12 months to “nourish them”. This results in superbly finished, fruity, and full-bodied wines. After four generations, Sauzet is still synonymous with high-quality, elegant, Burgundian Chardonnay.  The complex nose has a lot to say with light minerality, floral notes, apple, a hint of peach and touch of vanillin oak.  This wine is a crowd pleaser and not to be missed!

Red:
2019 Domaine La Roquete, Piedlong , Chateauneuf-du-Pape, France

This wine is named “Piedlong”, after the famed Piélong vineyard from where most of the fruit is sourced. It is a profoundly mineral wine that balances elegance and purity with the muscle that is commonly found in wines from this great appellation. This is a brooding wine with stewed red cherries and a hint of bramble, pine and anise.  Perfect for the holidays!
